Combined with DUREPOX AL AGUA, catalyst for EGAPOX AGUA, in proportion 5/3 by weight, it is used as a sealing primer prior to finishing with our EGAPOX AL AGUA SEMI-GLOSS SOILS. EGAPOX AL AGUA VARNISH IMPREGNADOR has good adhesion on mineral supports such as concrete, cement and also on tiles and terrazzos, due to its composition with special adhesion promoters.
Surface preparation
The support must be clean, dry and free of contaminants such as dust, grease, etc., which could impair the adhesion of the product. In new concretes the product can be applied from 14 days after setting. It also admits its application in humid soils, as long as the water does not come from capillarity, due to its specific permeability. Cleaning shall be carried out by mechanical means (blasting or milling), chemical (water or steam combined with detergent substances and pressure spraying) or other means (thermal lance). The application of this varnish is justified on substrates that are not very porous or that present some disintegration or poor condition and its consolidation is considered necessary, also achieving a better finish, a lower consumption of material and a perfect cohesion of the set "Impregnation + Finish".
Before applying
It is recommended > 8ºC and Relative Humidity < 75%. Lower temperatures and relative humidity equal to or higher than those indicated, produce a delay in the drying and development of properties, which could be diminished; Evenings may also occur.
How to use
On the paint (component A) pour the catalyst (component B) and shake at low revolution, with mechanical agitation. Then tune with water. It should not be applied outside the life of the indicated mixture or with insufficient ventilation as it could present adhesion problems or produce differences in brightness or color.
