Combined with the EGAPOX Catalyst, for primers and epoxy enamels, in proportion 4/1 by weight of Base / Catalyst, it is used as a primer of high mechanical, chemical and corrosion resistance. It has very good adhesion on steel and other metals such as galvanized steel or aluminum. Applicable in all types of metal supports such as structures, machinery, boilermaking, and in general equipment subjected to high performance.
Surface preparation
The support will be clean, dry and free of all kinds of contaminants such as dust, greases, oils or others that would impair adhesion. Rust residues should be removed, preferably with shot blasting to grade Sa 21/2 according to Swedish Standard SIS 055900-1967.
Before applying
It is recommended > 10ºC and Relative Humidity < 75%. Apply at least three degrees above the dew point.
Storage
The product must be stored in the original container, perfectly closed, in a dry and ventilated place, in accordance with current legislation. Sun exposure should be avoided and the temperature of the warehouse should be above + 5ºC and below + 40ºC. Under these conditions the product has a shelf life of at least one year.
