Combined with DUREPOX 80, Epoxy impregnation catalyst, in ratio 5/3 by weight, is used as Impregnation or Finishing Varnish, with good adhesions even on wet concrete. This combination is also highly effective as a bridge between old cement and new cement, with concrete breakage rather than breakage in the adhesion zone. Combined with ARENA 6014 in Base/Hardener/Sand ratio of 5/3/6 we obtain an Epoxy Mortar for large fillings or regrowths.
Surface preparation
The support must be clean, dry and free of contaminants such as dust, grease, etc ..., which could impair the adhesion of the product. In new concretes wait a month until their complete setting. Cleaning shall be carried out by mechanical means (blasting or milling), chemical (water or steam combined with detergent substances and pressure spraying) or other means (thermal lance). When used as an Impregnation Varnish the adhesion is excellent even on wet concrete.
Before applying
The applied product cures even at a temperature of 5ºC and relative humidity of 90%, giving good surface finishes. Lower temperatures and relative humidity higher than those indicated, produce a delay in drying and development of properties, which could be reduced.
How to use
If a smaller film thickness is desired, dilute with our Egapox Solvent, at most, 10% by weight of the Base / Catalyst mixture. Repaint: Used as impregnation varnish, the application of a finish such as our EGAPOX TOXIC (with DUREPOX 60, Elastic Catalyst), could be instantaneous, although it is usually done from one day to the next. It is advisable not to let more than 48 hours pass. The inclusion between both hands of a polyethylene or fiberglass mesh will reinforce the tear resistance.
